Basisbank launches Apple Pay payments for Visa and Mastercard with Pri-Num’s help

Basisbank has now launched Apple Pay payments for Mastercard, adding to its previously launched Visa payments capability. Apple Pay is a payments technology that enables secure, fast and convenient contactless payments with an iPhone or other Apple device.

Basisbank customers with an iPhone or other Apple device will now be able to store their Basisbank Visa and Mastercard cards on their device and make contactless payments anywhere these cards are accepted, without the need for the actual card.

Pri-Num was engaged to implement the integration with Apple Pay for both Visa and Mastercard cards. The solution was based on Pri-Num’s secure and scalable Digital Enablement Platform™, a solution that enables the rapid deployment of a range of card and transactions-based digital and mobile services.

Georgia became the first country in 2019 in the South Caucasus to implement Apple Pay.
