Our Customer
BPS-Sberbank is based in Minsk, Belarus. It has more than 2,300 employees and has over $1,69 bln USD in assets. It counts more than 1,500 companies as part of its corporate family.

The vision
Apple Pay is a secure and convenient mobile payment solution. It enables customers to make payments seamlessly without sharing their card details with the merchant or even Apple itself. BPS-Sberbank wanted to bring this innovative solution to its customers so that they’re able to make payments effortlessly at any merchant that accepts Visa and Mastercard contactless payments.
What we proposed
Pri-Num took the lead on the technical implementation of this project. By utilizing our ITS platform for third-party wallets that enables integration with any digital wallet, we provided the requisite APIs and server-side modules to BPS-Sberbank so that its customers could start using Apple Pay.
How it worked
Apple Pay uses NFC technology to process contactless payments through every customer’s unique device account number and a transaction-specific dynamic security code. This guarantees safety as the customer’s actual payment card number is never shared with the merchant. The transactions can only be approved using a passcode, Touch ID or Face ID. Apple Pay can be used for contactless payments at all merchants that accept Visa and Mastercard contactless payments. Apple Pay also enables customers to make payments online.
Card networks’ support
BPS-Sberbank has become the first bank in Belarus to launch Apple Pay. This represents a major leap not just for the country’s contactless payments industry but that for the entire region. Belarus is already second on the list of top countries by contactless transaction volume in the CEMEA region. Apple Pay’s arrival is only going to elevate its rankings.
The results
Now that BPS-Sberbank has launched Apple Pay in Belarus, the vast majority of Apple device owners in the country are now relying on Apple Pay for secure and effortless contactless payments. They can easily use a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card to make payments at shops, public transit, taxis, and other places.
