TBC Bank, JSC is one of the largest banks in Georgia. It was founded in 1992 and is located in Tbilisi. TBC Bank is a part of the banks and credit unions industry with more than 5,000 employees. It generated over USD $330 million in sales with 585 companies in its corporate family.
The vision
TBC Bank wanted to offer more user-friendly products to a wider audience by leveraging the digitization of its business processes. It also wanted to launch digital technologies that were new to Georgia, like a digital wallet, that would effectively replace customers’ obsolete physical wallets.
What we proposed
The bank wanted to launch a modern and convenient digital wallet that would replace customers’ outdated physical wallets. This required a standalone mobile app. Pri-Num, a Visa Ready Qualified Token Service provider and a Mastercard Digital Vendor, offered its resources and expertise in creating a digital wallet application to TBC Bank. Our digital wallet solution enable banks to add support for contactless payments, issue prepaid cards and credentials, integrate with loyalty and marketing platforms while keeping everything secure with bank-grade security.
How it worked
The new mobile app was developed to allow customers to make contactless payments using their smartphones. TBC Wallet utilizes Pri-Num Digital Enablement Platform. The proprietary solution manages tokens for both the VISA Token Service and the Mastercard Digital Platform. The bank’s customers can add their TBC Visa or Mastercard to the app and use their smartphones to make secure and seamless payments at a POS terminal. They no longer need to extract the physical card from their wallets every time a payment needs to be made. The app also provides them with a simple feed to review their entire transaction history in for added convenience and peace of mind.

The results
As of 2019, the TBC Wallet app has amassed over 50,000 users with 100,000 tokens and has processed over 2 million transactions. It remains one of the most successful Visa issuer wallets in the World and maintains a solid 4.9 rating on Google Play.
